New music from JLS!

When I walked into HMV that monday afternoon and picked up a copy of JLS' debut album, I had not a clue that I would take it home and fall in love. Every track was beautifully produced with strong vocals, infectious beats and simple yet spellbinding lyrics. So it's no surprise that as soon as the boys revealed they are currently working on a second album, i jumped to my feet. Via YouTube they also announced their next single "The Club is Alive" will be coming soon. Dear 'Soon', I beg of you.. Please hurry.

Eclipse!

Is it June yet? Seriously, must Summit Entertainment forever torture us with these Eclipse ads all over our favourite sites?! Right now, you'll either being sighing at the fact that I happen to be one of those 'Twilighters' or nodding along like a hyperactive bunny agreeing with me exactly. The trailer seems be lurking around everywhere, too - just to taunt me. *Sighs and taps fingers on table*.. Is it June yet?

Summertime!

Beautiful weather, gorgeous clothes, long nights, zero school drama, fantastic music festivals... Anybody willing to tell me a reason to dislike the summer whilst I'm pre-packing my beach bag? No? Didn't think so. After an extremely long depressing winter & a half-decent springtime, I believe we all deserve a wonderful stress-relieving summertime. Flip flops and digi cams at the ready, folks - I've had mine out since boxing day.

Remember that gorgeous long top that caught your eye in Dorothy Perkins? Well it goes perfectly with your uggs & those jeggins you picked up last month. Oh! And let's not forget that stunning sequin blazer you almost melted over in River Island! It would look amazing with your old plain black tank, that long pretty necklace your best mate got you for your birthday & those jeans you practically live in!

Find yourself always mixing & matching old wardrobe favourites with your brand new splurges? Then you're already in on the little 'style staple' fashionista secret. The trick that (along with the practice of responsibly putting money aside every now 'n' then) can leave you totally minted!

My favourite excuse for splurging on hot new buys that some may class as a "total waste of money" is the classic, "it was an investment". The item will end up paying for itself in the long run as it can be mixed with all sorts of wardrobe wonders!

But before you go out there and wave your Topshop purses around like wands you must be equipped! Think about the items in your wardobe that you find yourself adding to almost every outfit you wear & then see if your 'have-to-have-it' item will click with those. Just for an example, if you look to the left you find a list of my personal 'Style Staples': basic items that bring my outfits together.

So what are you waiting for? Splurge, splurge, splurge!

50,000 sales of her debut single in its first week. Currently glossing the cover of huge brit-mag Sugar. Performing alongside acts like The All-American Rejects and Boys Like Girls. Don't be fooled by the name - her talent is anything but small.

Ever since her debut single "Mama Do (Uh Oh, Uh Oh)" rocketed straight to no.1 she gathered not only the attention of the press but many teenagers across the world. Just one listen to her new album "Turn It Up" (OUT NOW!) will show you how much of a soulful songstress this eighteen-year-old is. Labelled as 'the first British female solo artist to debut no.1 in her native country and not launched off a reality television programe' by billboard.com, Pixie is already setting records.

This British Blonde describes her perfect lad as a 'Roughed-Up Zac Efron' but insists she's too busy for a relationship at the moment. And Unlike the clean-cut disney stars of today Pixie admits to using fake IDs and her sister's driver license to get into clubs and bars, when she was younger. So what makes her idol worthy you ask? IDOL WATCH: Alyson Michalka

Five years ago, marks the date of Alyson's acting debut as Keely Teslow - the dynamic and spirited aispring reporter / best friend in Phil of the Future (Disney Channel). Since then she's come a long way and not only in acting.

Michalka is also part of the musical duo 78Violet (formerly known as Aly & AJ) along with her younger sister Amanda Joy. The group released their first album in August '05, followed by their second in September '05 and third in July '07.

And even though she has left quite a footprint in the music industry these past few years, Alyson heads back to acting as she stars as 'it' girl Charlotte: a leading role in the teen comedy 'Bandslam'. The movie centers around Will Burton (Gaelan Connell) a misfit new kid who is bedazzled as he strikes the attention of the most popular girl in school - Charlotte - who begins to frequently spend time with him. When she discovers his impressive musical knowledge she hires Will to manage her rock band, as she strives to take revenge upon her ex-boyfriend Ben Wheatley (Scott Porter) at a Battle of the Bands competition.

The date the flick hits the cinemas is 12th August and 78Violet's new album is due for release sometime around Autumn, so be sure to look out for both. So with one project set for release, another still in the midst and a few more flicks coming up, I believe it's safe to say.. Alyson is here to stay.
